“Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever You had formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting You are God!”
Psalm 90:2
“Your throne is established from of old, You are from everlasting.”
Psalm 93:2
“High and lofty One… Who lives forever” Isaiah 57:15
Have you ever wondered what God was doing before He started creating all things, these verses explain that He EXISTED. Really, that’s all we need to know. I’m not sure if God has always been creating, all we know is God existed from everlasting to everlasting He was and still is the great “I AM!” Exodus 3:14 What dose it mean when He said “I Am” is my name? I believe God was making a point, that He is always present, the God who is always there. The existence of God is displayed in the fullness of His presence, His Glory has always existed, it is always present and was shared with God the Father, His Son, and His Holy Spirit! There was never a time (as we know of time) that the Knowledge of the Glory of God was not displayed within the trinity of God. What is the Glory of the Lord? It is the invisible qualities, the character and attributes of God displayed in a visible or knowable way. God is Holy, God is eternal, God is righteousness, Justice and true. When the characteristics and attributes of God is displayed for all to see or is seen in the natural, then this is Gods Glory! The Knowledge of Glory of God has always been present and God the Father, the Son and Holy Spirit always shared this Glory throughout all of eternity.
John 17:5 Proverbs 8:22-30
Before the beginning of time and space, when there was no Heaven or Earth, nor were there mountains or seas, there was no darkness at all or shifting shadow, God existed, from everlasting to everlasting, in illuminating light, He has always been an ETERNAL God. Psalms 90:2
Before the creation, before the foundation of the world, we read in scripture “who alone possesses immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see.” 1 Timothy 6:16
His Glory is the light that is shared within the Godhead and has always been displayed in the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. In this eternal existence of God there is Love, for God is Love. 1 John 4:7
Before the foundations of the world, the Father Loved the Son, and the Son Loved the Father and the Spirit was His delight, rejoicing always before Him (Proverbs 8:22-31) For “the things of God knows no one except the Spirit of God. (1 Cor.2:10-11) The Lord God Almighty is One, One in unity, One in Love, in which we (in the flesh) could never understand. These are the “depths of God” and the “Mysteries” in which God has kept hidden, in order that the manifold wisdom of God might be made known through the Church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places (angels) for this was His eternal purpose which He carried out in His Son in due time. (Ephesians 3:9-11)
In His eternal existence, there was a point where God began to create all things, first in the heavens, so that the knowledge of the Glory of God can be manifested or displayed in all that He created! Yet before the foundations of the world a covenant was set in motion. He predestined the world for salvation, John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son…” We read in Revelations 13:8 that Christ the sacrificial Lamb was slain from the foundation of the world. A covenant was made where He agreed to be slain as a ransom for many. Because “He declares the end from the beginning and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish my good pleasure.” Isaiah 46:10 God knowing and seeing all of it already done, He spoke out the Torah, “His instructions” so that man will see and understand that “because He has spoken, He has purposed, and will not change His mind, nor will He turn from His word.” (Jer.4:28) All this was in the mind of God before the world was, and all this was manifested through His Word. Ephesians 1:4 say “God chose us before the foundation of the world” and the bible also says in 1 Cor. 2:7 “That we impart a secret and hidden wisdom of God, which God decreed before the ages for our glory.” You can see in this that You and I were on God’s mind even before the ages so that we could partake in His Glory! The beginning was a point in which God was marking out what was His, establishing His Kingdom and making known His Glory throughout the universe. His kingdom was at hand!
“The heavens tell of the Glory of God, and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands.” Psalms 19:1
God’s Will was manifested by His spoken Word, His son, in whom He shared the Glory. In whom He Loves and in whom He will give an everlasting Kingdom where the Son will be King of kings and Lord of lords.
”In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God and All things were made through Him and without Him nothing was made, that was made.” John 1:1-2
The Rabbis taught that God created the world with only one word that started with a vibration that continues to pulsate to this day. They taught that one single letter of the Hebrew alphabet, the “bet” which represents “house”. The first letter in the Torah “ BARA” in Hebrew is the word for CREATE. In this All of the other Hebrew letters were spoken and became the “house” for His Word. Thus Torah was spoken out and manifested within all of creation. The whole earth was filled with the knowledge of the Glory of God!
“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth” Genesis 1:1 and everything that was in them. These first words “In the beginning” has No time frame, so it leaves us to believe that God was creating all of the heavens and the heavens of heavens! The council of the Lord’s assembly of the Holy Ones. (2 Chron.18:18) The hosts of heaven were created to serve and to minister. “Angels were created as ministering Spirits sent out to minister (or serve) to those who are to inherit salvation.” Hebrews 1:14 This points out once again that we were on His mind. In Ephesian 1:11 it says, “ In Him we have obtained an inheritance having been predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will.” The hosts of heaven were created to serve and to minister before God’s throne. They were called “Bene-Elohim” the sons of God, for God created them for a purpose in the brightness of His Glory and in His presence, knowing God and praising Him before His throne. They were to administrate, watch over, rule, and have authority over the dimensions of God’s creation. And as majestic as the hosts of heaven and the angels are even to this day and forever, they were not created to rule and reign with Christ in His kingdom, we were! The good news of the gospel is that we have become hairs and had a certain privilege given to us before the world was. For all though, the angels who are called sons of God and who sang for joy when He laid the foundations of the earth, (Job 38:7) yet the Glory of the knowledge of God was breathed into man not the angels, as man was created in the image of God. (Genesis 2:7) Not to say that the angels and all of the heavenly hosts were not created in God’s image as well, scripture simply does not say.
But we can see that at one point of time the dimensions between heaven and earth had no boundaries. “For by Him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities, all things were created through Him and For Him.” Col.1:16
As the heavens declare His Glory, the whole earth was full of the Glory of the Lord. “For thus says the Lord, who created the heavens, He is the God who formed the earth and made it, who has established it, and did not create it formless and void, who formed it to be inhabited, I am the Lord and there is no other.” Isaiah 45:18 Did you get that? God did not create the earth formless and void!
In the book of Ecclesiastes 3:14 it says that “everything God does will remain forever there is nothing to add to it and there is nothing to take from it, for God has so worked that men should fear Him, (or be in Awe of Him!) Within these verses we can picture a time when all creation was in harmony with the Glory of God, the Kingdom was at hand, God spoke with purpose from the beginning and He can not change His mind nor turn from His word.
Jesus (Yashuha) is the Word, the Torah that became flesh and dwelt among us. Through Yashua the knowledge of the Glory of God was upon the earth just as it was in the beginning, but this time in the form of a man!
Jesus said “And now glorify Thou me together with Thyself Father, with the glory which I had with Thee before the foundations of the world.” John 17:5
In this verse we know that the glory of the father was with the son before the world was even created. Jesus (Yashuha) is the Son “The Spoken Word of God” who from the beginning created all things.
God’s purpose for creation was set as an
“Eternal Covenant” before the foundations of the world. That means that God knew beforehand how everything was going to come about. Heb.13:20, Lev.17:11, Heb.9:22
“He was foreknown before the foundation of the world but was made manifest in the last times for the sake of you…(us believers)” 1 Peter 1:20
As I read through these verses I marvel at the fact of God’s perfect Love for you and I and all of creation. That before the world was even created God spoke this eternal covenant, an agreement that was made with an oath.
As we read beforehand, “Christ becomes the Lamb that was slain before the foundation of the world.” Rev.5:9-11
The fact that His purpose is unchangeable, confirmed with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have taken refuge would have strong encouragement to hold firmly to the hope set before us.” Heb.6:17-18
Because God’s Will has chosen us in Him before the foundations of the world. Eph.1:4-11, 2 Tim.1:9
We can understand that we are part of a bigger plan and that God’s Glory is centered on a Kingdom given to the Son by the Father. God the Ancient of Days gives the Son a kingdom; “His dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away and His Kingdom one that shall not be destroyed.” Daniel 7:13-14
Taking all of this in account, we can see the plan for creation was to give His son a kingdom that was made up and shared by all peoples nations and tongues. Remember that God is a Holy God, His presence has always been fully known from the beginning of time. All of creation bows down and gives God the glory because the knowledge of His Holiness has always been displayed in His creation. In the beginning man and women were created in the image of God and they were also called Bene-Elohim sons of God, because they were created directly by God, just as the angels were. They were clothed in the Glory until they willfully chose to disobey, giving all rights to the kingdom here on this earth over to the serpent (Satan). But God knowing all things, made a way that His word would not come back empty, so His eternal covenant was a plan to make us worthy to be with a Holy and awesome God so we could share in the Knowledge of the Glory of God for all eternity! Man, this brings tears to my eyes, if you fully get what I’m saying! This is why Yashuha leaves His glorious throne to clothe Himself in flesh, as Adam was once clothed in the Glory and traded it in for flesh, Jesus who is full of the Glory of the Father now clothes Himself in flesh, so to carry out His oath, to destroy the works of the evil one and to bring back the light of the knowledge of the Glory of God on the earth. 1 Cor.4:6 Because of this my friends, He now gives us the right to become Bene-Elohim children of God once again! John 1:12 And soon He will complete this oath “for the time is coming when the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.” Habakkuk 2:14
